• ON THE PARTIAL ORDERING OF RANGE HERMITIAN MATRICES
Abstract
For a given range Hermitian matrix B, conditions are obtained for all matrices A that lie below B (above B) A ≤ B (A ≥ B) to be range Hermitian under a given partial ordering on matrices. As an application, it is shown that the monotonicity of the constitutive operators in linear electro-mechanical systems having the same structure operator is preserved for the corresponding transfer impedances.
