Abstract

We discuss the transient magneto-hydrodynamic convective heat transfer flow of a viscous, electrically conducting fluid through a porous medium confined in a vertical channel on whose walls an oscillatory temperature is prescribed. Approximate solutions to coupled non-linear partial differential equations governing the flow and heat transfer are solved by a perturbation technique. The velocity, temperature, and Nusselt Number are discussed for different variations of G, M, D-1 , Ec, g and t.
