• MHD AND CHEMICAL REACTION EFFECTS ON LINEARLY ACCELERATED VERTICAL PLATE WITH VARIABLE TEMPERATURE AND VARIABLE MASS DIFFUSION IN THE PRESENCE OF RADIATION

E. Geetha, R. Muthucumaraswamy*

Abstract

The effect of a uniform transverse magnetic field on the free convection and mass transform flow of an electrically conducting fluid past a linearly accelerated vertical plate with variable temperature and variable mass diffusion in the presence of radiation is considered. At time t’ > 0 both temperature and species concentration levels near the plate are raised linearly with time t. The governing equations are solved in closed form by using the Laplace transform technique. The influence of the various parameters, entering into the problem, on the concentration, temperature and velocity field is extensively discussed with the help of graphs.
