• EFFECT OF MAGNETIC FIELD ON THE PERISTALTIC FLOW OF A FRACTIONAL SECOND GRADE FLUID THROUGH A CYLINDRICAL TUBE

Abstract


The effect of magnetic field on the peristaltic flow of a fractional second grade fluid through a cylindrical tube is analyzed. Long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions are used to linearise the governing equations. The expression for velocity is obtained. The expressions for fractional parameter, material constant, magnetic field and amplitude on the pressure and friction force across one wavelength are discussed numerically with the help of illustrations.
