• AN M/G/1 QUEUE WITH TWO TYPES OF SECOND OPTIONAL SERVICES

Abstract


An queue with two types of second optional services has been studied. For this model the time dependent probability generating functions have been obtained interms of their Laplace transforms and the corresponding steady state results are derived. The expressions for mean and variance of the queue length and the mean waiting time are obtained. A particular case is deduced and a numerical study is also carried out.
