• RADIATION EFFECTS ON UNSTEADY MHD FREE CONVECTIVE FLOW PAST A VERTICAL POROUS PLATE EMBEDDED WITH POROUS MEDIUM IN PRESENCE OF HEAT SOURCE

Abstract


The effect of radiation on the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) free convective flow of an electrically conducting incompressible viscous fluid past a heated vertical porous plate embedded in a porous medium is investigated. The governing coupled non-linear partial differential equations for velocity and temperature fields are derived and solved using regular perturbation technique. The effects of various physical parameters on the velocity and temperature fields are discussed numerically and shown through graphs, while the effects on the coefficient of skin friction and Nusselt number are discussed numerically and presented through tables.
