• THE BUOYANCY EFFECT ON THE NEWTONIAN COOLANT FLOW INDUCED BY AN EXPONENTIALLY STRETCHING THIN FILMS

Abstract


The paper presents the buoyancy effect on the velocity profiles and heat transfer in the flow of newtonian fluid over an exponentially stretching sheet. Navier slip is considered at the boundary. The governing coupled, non-linear, partial differential equations are converted into coupled, nonlinear, ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformation. Runge-Kutta-Felhberg 45 method is used to solve initial value problem by shooting method. Differential transform method with the Pade approximation is used to obtain the series solution of the governing nonlinear problem. The effects of Chandrasekhar number, Prandtl number, Grashof number and Eckert number on velocity and temperature profiles are analyzed through graphs.
