• HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER FOR MHD FREE CONVECTION FLOW PAST A VERTICAL PLATE THROUGH A POROUS MEDIUM WITH THERMAL RADIATION

Abstract


The present study analyzes the unsteady free convection heat and mass transfer MHD flow over a semi infinite vertical porous plate embedded in porous medium in the presence of thermal radiation. The basic partial differential equations are reduced to a set of non-linear ordinary differential equations by appropriate transformations and the dimensionless equations are solved by perturbation method. Numerical results of the velocity, temperature and concentration are shown graphically for various parameters. The Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also derived and presented in tabular form.
