• A NOTE ON THREE GENERALIZED METRIC SPACES

V. JHANSI RANI, SARADA KESIRAJU*

Abstract

The concept of metric space has been generalized by introducing D*-metric space by Shaban Sedghi, Nabi Shobe and Haiyun Zhou [5]; G-metric space by Zead Mustafa and Brailey Sims[7] and S-metric space by Shaban Sedghi, Nabi Shobe and Abdelkrim Aliouche [6]. It is claimed in ([6], Remark 1.3) that every G-metric space is a D* -metric space. In this paper we show by examples that the claim is incorrect. Also we give examples to establish that G-metric and S-metric are independent.
