• Hopf Point Analysis of the Food Chain Model with Holling Type III Functional Response

Abstract


In this paper, an attempt has been made to understand the dynamics of a food chain model where the top predator has no dynamics of its own. In this regard, we consider a food chain model with Holling type III functional response. The dynamics behaviour of the model system around biolgically feasible equilibra are studied. Conditions for which the model enter into Hopf-bifuraction are worked out. To substantiate our analysis findings numerical simulations are carried out for hypothetical set of parameter values.
